Begin using the bird collar on a weekend or when you can observe your bird for a few days. Your bird may flop around or throw a fit, at first. If it does this, place a towel in the bottom of the cage and lower the perches. Be patient and the minute it stops fighting the collar show your excitement and give your bird verbal praise and a favorite treat, if it will take it.
